Basque Boarding House Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

2/3 cup cider vinegar
2 large cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
Pepper, to taste
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup canola oil
1 cup mayonnaise

Preparation:

Combine vinegar and garlic and whisk vigorously. Let sit for a few minutes, then whisk in salt, pepper, dry mustard and sugar. Vigorously whisk in oil and mayonnaise. Toss with salad.
