Sweet and Bloody Sour Sauce

Ok, I am going nuts trying to find a decent sweet and sour sauce recipe. Something like the VH brand sauce for dipping and whatnot, but a little less sweet.

I've tried all kinds lately and it's driving me about batty trying to find one that's similar to the brand I mentioned. Either too runny, or too sweet or too sour or blah!
