Spiced Apple & Pepper Chutney
Ingredients:
2 Quarts Apples (cleaned)
1 cup minced peppers
1 clove garlic
1 cup minced onion
1 pound raisins
1 pound brown sugar
1 pint cider vinegar
1 t. ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
2 t. dry mustard
2 t. salt
1/4 t crushed red pepper
Preparation:
In a large, non-reactive pan, combine all ingredients. Cover and bring mixture to a boil. Uncover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, until mixture thickens. Serve with crackers, pita points, homemade toasts or breads, anything you can imagine!
