In large stock pot over medium heat cook :
1 lb cut up bacon
1 large onion chopped
While this is frying up wash your greens:
4 Bunches each Mustard Greens and Turnip Greens approx 2 lbs total)
remove stems and wash well , at least 3 times to remove all sand and dirt
squeeze off water and toss into bacon/onion mixture
(bacon and onions should be fried up and onions transparent) do not drain off bacon grease.
keep adding greens , they will over flow, but as they cook, they wither down greatly.
when greens are darkened and simmering add:
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp seasoning salt
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt
2 tsp. soul seasoning
continue simmering covered, for 1/2 hour on low heat
