Traditional Caramel Apple Dip

Ingredients:

1 cup dark brown sugar
1 stick butter
4 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup sour cream

Preparation:

On stovetop, melt butter on medium-low heat. Add brown sugar and stir to disolve. Add vanilla, remove from heat. Briskly stir in sour cream until blended well. Serve warm, or better yet chill for 2 hours to thicken. Yields 6 cups.

Note:
Best served with tart apple slices - Granny Smiths or Empires.
